Are you a support teacher?
Thanks so much for responding to my question.
I've had a number of different roles in my time as a teacher. I've been a tutor working with students that have learning difficulties, such as dyslexia. I've also provided literacy support to teachers....and now I'm also teaching my little girl at home.
Here you will find links to some articles that I've written about my experience of being a support teacher. There are also links to resources that will help you.

TnT Weekly Wrap: Uncommitted Parents
The weekly wrap up of a specialist dyslexia tutor - including parents that are not fully committed to their child's tutoring.

Using phonics games to help teach reading and spelling is a great way to engage the kids you're working with, practice using skills they’ve learned as well as have some fun. Trugs is a card game that follows a systematic synthetic phonics approach. The game comes in different boxes that includes stages and each stage builds on what has already been covered.

If you suspect a student that you're working with has dyslexia but you are unsure of what to look for, then these tips will help you begin the identification process. Download the free poster.
